  1. THIS IS A GREAT FIRST EFFORT AT VIDEO REPORTAGE–VERY IMPRESSIVE!

    SPECIFIC NOTES:

WITH THE VOICEOVER COMMENTARY, I’D HOLD OFF ON TOO MUCH OPIONIZING ESPECIALLY AT THE START OF THE PIECE. THE COMMENTARY YOU MAKE AT THE END, ONCE WE’VE SEEN THE ‘EVIDENCE,’ IS GREAT, BECAUSE IT FEELS MORE EARNED.

ALSO, ON THE DICTION/PRONUNCIATION FRONT, IT CAN BE HARD TO HEAR YOU AT TIMES, ESPECIALLY AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS CLIP.

WE NEED ONE MORE SENTENCE OF SETUP AT THE BEGINNING–WHEN, WHERE, AND WHAT WAS THIS EVENT.

FIRST GUY HAS A GREAT FACE BUT HIS QUOTE GOES ON TOO LONG.
THEN YOU TALK TO THREE ADMINISTRATORS/BOARD MEMBERS IN A ROW, THAT’S TOO MANY. THEY ALL MAKE GOOD POINTS BUT WE NEED TO SEE OTHER STUFF IN BETWEEN.

THE SCREAM IS GREAT. THOMAS MANN’S BOOK IS DEATH IN VENICE, NOT VENUS (DIFFERENT PRONUNCIATION).

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE BETTER SOUND ON THE POETRY PERFORMANCE. I KNOW THAT’S HARD, BUT IN FUTURE YOU MIGHT ASK PERFORMER TO PERFORM A VERSE DIRECTLY INTO YOUR CAMERA.

I LIKE THE PERFORMER WHO IS INTERVIEWED WITH HER DANCERS MOVING IN THE BACKGROUND–THAT’S THE KIND OF CLIP IT WOULD BE GOOD TO SEE HIGHER UP IN THE PIECE.

BRITISH COLUMBIA ART FUNDING STAT KINDA CAME OUT OF LEFT FIELD–IT IS ALARMING HOW MUCH MONEY THEY’VE CUT, BUT THAT’S A LONG WAY FROM HERE. TELL US WHAT’S HAPPENING IN NYC.

I LIKE THAT YOU PUT A SHOT OF YOURSELF UP AT END, BUT I THINK IT SHOULD BE AFTER THE PIECE, LIKE A BYLINE, NOT WHILE YOU’RE STILL TALKING. ALSO, YOU SHOULD PUT YOUR NAME UP THERE SINCE YOU’RE SO GOOD WITH THE TITLES.
