350 Day of Action

On October 25th, nine people rowed from Pier 40 around the Battery of Manhattan up the United Nations and back for the 350 day of action. The captain of one of the boats is taking down mast, which read 350 to raise awareness. 350.org is a campaign organized by environmentalist Bill McKibben, where the primary focus for the number 350—as in parts per million—is the safe amount of CO2 in the earth’s atmosphere. On October 24th, virtually every country in the world had an organizer for the day of action to incorporate the number 350 in their community.
